About Us

Athang Adventure is a part of the company Athang Private Limited. In 2005 we first ventured in the ICT field as a
system and software developer, followed by establishment of a training institute Athang Training Academy in
2009 and the Athang Animation in 2011. Athang is well known for the creation of the first 3D animation
movie Ap Bokto, that gained popularity within and outside the country.

The Athang Adventures is an outcome of a vision to establish a tourism for travelers with authentic experience and
in sustainable manner that create positive impact to the places they visit. It also assures that travelers get
the best of Bhutan’s experience to take back new knowledge, experiences and a lifetime of memories.

Meet Our Faculty

Tshering Choki


Athang Adventures is led by Tshering Choki who has over 12 years of experience in sustainable tourism development. She has lived among rural communities for almost a decade developing and promoting conservation and sustainable livelihood programs. In 2016, she left her job as a community-based sustainable tourism development expert with the Royal Society of Protection of Nature (RSPN), an environmental NGO in Bhutan to pursue her dream of establishing and launching a market for Bhutan that connects travelers to rural community based tourism in Bhutan.


This remote kingdom, a place of ancient monasteries , fluttering prayer flags and staggering natural beauty . Less than 40 years ago, Bhutan opened its borders for the first time. Since then, it has gained an almost mythical status as a real- life Shangri-La , largely for its determined and methodical pursuit of the most elusive of concepts – national happiness.
